Wesak 2012- Thank you and Sadhu.
We would like to record our sincere thanks and appreciation to Ven Balacitta from Sasanarakha Buddhist Sanctuary, Ven. Monks from Sentul Buddhist Temple, Wesak Organizing Committee 2012 ,our guests of honor, invited guests, special guests from Ci Hang Welfare Home, BUBS members, friends and families, donors, corporate and individual sponsors, well wishers , volunteers , the scouts , Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang ,National Transplant Resource Centre ,Dr Liau Hui Meng, SJK(C) Puay Chai 2, our neighbours and all who have contributed to make this year’s Wesak Celebration a success.
Our theme for Wesak 2012 is “Grateful Heart, Peaceful Mind”. Gratitude is Katannuta in Pali and it is generally coupled with Katavedi. In this combined form, Katannuta is the feeling of thankfulness knowing ( recognizing and acknowledging) the benefits received and Katavedi is the wish to reciprocate in kind to repay the kindness. As our expression of gratitude and thankfulness to our parents, teachers, elders, relatives and friends, there was a tea ceremony for our special guests. It was an emotional moment for many. In appreciation of our special guests, BUBS gave a contribution of RM5,000.00 to Ci Hang Welfare Home.
We would like to record our appreciation to YB Tuan Sivarasa and YB Ms Elizabeth Wong for their attendance and contributions of RM1,000.00 and RM2,500.00 respectively.
The blood donation and organ pledge was a great success. We exceeded the target set by the Hospital and the National Transplant Resource Centre.
For the flower offering, a total of 320 bouquets of flowers were offered for Puja which is a new record . The F& B team did a fantastic job of ensuring that there were ample food for all. Besides sponsoring the food, many of the ladies have to wake up extra early to prepare the food. We would also like to commend the Dhamma School for a wonderful performance .
The teamwork, spirit of volunteerism and positive energy all round was amazing.
The Celebration would not be a success without your participation, co-operation and contribution. Anumodana and Sadhu , Sadhu, Sadhu to all.
May the goodness from your participation in our Wesak Celebration be the cause for the realization of your aspiration and liberation. May the Triple Gem bless you and family with good health, happiness and prosperity.
